Multicultural Development Points
For Teachers and Principals

The Respect Diversity Foundation is offering a unique opportunity for you to receive Multicultural Professional Development Points in a fun, festive atmosphere at Omniplex.  You will be surrounded by extraordinary collaborations by students of all ages, inspired by diversity lessons.

The fourth annual Respect Diversity Symbol Exhibit at Omniplex will reside in the Young Artist’s Gallery this Spring.  We invite you to learn ways that students throughout the state of Oklahoma have explored diversity through the arts.

The gala opening of the exhibit, on Thursday, April 21, 2005, will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a program in the Eleanor Maurer Theatre.  Civil Rights Leader Clara Luper and State Superintendent Sandy Garrett will present the Respect Diversity Teacher of the Year Awards.  Winning schools of the Respect Diversity Art & Poetry Contest will be presented their awards.  There will be musical performances.  You will enjoy the African drumming of Bantaba as you peruse the gallery.  There will be a feast of ethnic cuisine from 15 restaurants.  This is the quintessential diversity celebration.

If you would like to be included in this far reaching project, free of charge,
