Background
Sara Church is a singer-songwriter, musician, producer, and speaker for the Adopt a School Program. The artist has worked on her own and with other bands to open, share the stage, and record with many National, and internationally known performers. Sara Church has been an active in the music industry for fifteen years and has worked with and been directed by many wonderful talents, some of which include: Jim Halsey (The Judds, Reba, Dwight Yokum, Oakridge Boys, Roy Clark, Clint Black, etc.), Chris Mickle (recorded and/or aired name acts Prince, Rod Stewart, Melissa Etheridge, Moody Blues, YES, etc.), Phil Crumrine (engineer for numerous national and international artists: Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Dave Mathews, String Cheese Incident, etc.), Jeff Krump (Aerosmith). Sara is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, BMI, AFM Local 72-147, ACLU, Greenpeace, and VOICES in Action. Church supports the Hill Country Youth Ranch based in Central Texas whose programs work for intervention, housing and education of youth that have or are victims of abuse. Sara has toured the South Central Region of the United States and internationally with the USO/DOD Overseas Program to Cuba, Haiti, Honduras, and Puerto Rico. Church worked with the Humanitarian Aid Effort in Haiti and with youth in the South Central United States, Puerto Rico and Honduras. Sara Church is the first independent female solo artist to have toured with the USO/DOD Overseas program and has been considered by critics as "one of the few strong independent women in rock." The artist began working with the Adopt A School Program while on the road in 1999 and has had the opportunity to speak to many people regarding music, life, peer pressure with drugs, bullying and the respect for diversity in building a positive future. Church has worked with elementary through to college level students.
Projects to Date
Sara has completed four album and 2 EP projects to date Day and Night (1993), Pure Honey (1995) licensed and released by ECCO in October of 2000, Against All Odds (1998), Lies on the Wind EP (2002), Behind the Garden before the Dawn EP (2003) and Sara Church (2004). In November 1999, ECCO Records licensed and released the Sara Church CD, Against All Odds. The project crossed some 10 airplay formats in the radio world and is used in television and international programs. Against All Odds debuted on AIC Independent charts at #30, and in less than 3 weeks climbed to #14. The independent production stayed on the charts for over two months. The placement of this airplay earned Church a listing as one of the Top 50 New Independent Artists Worldwide.

Sara stresses a pro-education and an anti-drug base to reinforce the positive and balanced aspects achieved through values, mutual communication, understanding, and respect for our differences as human beings.
