"Now, more than ever, it is important to teach about diversity in ways that unite, not divide.  And that is exactly what our work is about.

Early in my career, I learned the value and importance of unity and the great good that can be accomplished when people work together.  Over the past twenty years, I have learned how to effectively unite highly diverse groups of people, in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.  And most importantly, I have learned how to do this quickly, powerfully, and in ways that are sustainable over time.  Sharing this knowledge and the practical steps to achieve unity from diversity with individuals, schools, organizations, and companies is what we do.  And from what I'm told, we do it pretty well." --Shane DeRolf

Testimonials

From the President of the United States
"Thank you for writing 'The Crayon Box That Talked."  This poem makes an important contribution to our efforts to build bridges of communication, understanding and respect among children of diverse racial, religious, and ethnic groups.  Each of us has a part to play in ensuring that America's future will hold promise for every citizen, and we must welcome that important responsibility.  I salute you for your efforts to promote peace and racial harmony."--Bill Clinton

From one of many Principals
"Until 'The Big Picture', and 'The Big Picture Workshop,' I had never found the right formula to create a unified staff where members not only work well together across grade levels and departments but also accept the differences in children as well as adults.  It is without hesitation I offer my support to Shane DeRolf and The Big Picture.  Every adult and child should be a graduate of the University of Diversity."
