Singing is a fun way to embrace diversity! Through performances, songwriting workshops, and residencies, Monty brings music to diversity celebrations.
Offering
- Monty has performed at countless libraries, schools, festivals, and bookstores throughout the country. His songs are fun and engaging for kids, yet sophisticated enough to entertain adults as well. He gets his audience involved with sing-alongs, movement, and other interactions.
- Library programs (PS-5th)
- School assembly programs (PS-5th) - focus on songwriting, reading, or being drug-free.
- Songwriting workshops (2nd-5th), available with assembly program - In a sixty minute workshop, Monty will help your class create an original song, a symbol of respect for diversity (see Respect Diversity Symbol Campaign). Students will come away with new writing ideas and techniques.
- Songwriting residencies (3rd-5th) - Your students work with Monty over an extended period to write and record a cassette or CD of original songs!

Fee
Varies depending on the venue and program/negotiable. Oklahoma Arts Council Funding may be available for up to half the amount.
