Manya and Meyer Korenblit
Holocaust Survivors -- The main characters in UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
Main Focus
Sharing their story of tragedy and eventual triumph, Manya and Meyer are true examples of, against all odds, how high the human spirit can soar.
Offerings
Manya and Meyer speak to fifth graders on up about their own experiences during the Holocaust. They tell of the struggles, the three story high hay stack that was hollowed out to secure a hiding place, the brick wall that hid Manya's family from the Nazis, the ghetto, the 13 concentration camps between the two of them. Yet, they also tell of the love that kept them alive. They tell of the heroes, Jews and non-jews, who helped save their lives. They tell of the miracles.
Six million is no longer a number. Students have the opportunity to ask questions. "Mr. and Mrs. Korenblit taught my students so much more than they could learn from a history book. They are gems!" explained K. Roger, a fifth grade teacher in Edmond, Oklahoma.
