Gallery Art Show and lecture 
Title of the show: "Genius of the Slaves."  Thirty one prints.  Prints, size 18X24 unframed. The show illustrates  the journey of the African Slaves to  America and present day culture. The 45 min - 1 hour display is accompaned by music, a powerpoint presentation, and book signing. 
 
 
Residencies/Workshops
Residencies and workshops may be customized to specific needs. Janice is a retired art teacher and high school counselor, and for the past 6 years has been a three state (Ks, Tx, Mo,) Lecuturer, and Gallery Display Artist to high schools, college campuses  and the Wichita City Arts Council.

Background:
 
Janice Marie Burdine was born in Boley, Oklahoma.  She was reared in Wichita, Kansas and recieved her Art Education Bachelor's degree from Wichita State Univerity, Master of Art Education and her certification in counseling from Emporia State University.  She has been a lifelong educator, illustrator artist, and community activist for positive change in youth in Wichita, Kansas, White Plains N.Y., Comiso, Italy; and Kansas City, Kansas.
