 Background:

Alvin grey up in a Los Angeles neighborhood surrounded by gang members and learned early about the higherarchy of gangs.   Vann knows the challenges that lie ahead for youth and the potential that lies within them.  As a Youth Specialist/Facilitator, he conducts mentoring of youth offenders in the juvenile justice system. 

 Offerings:

 Panelist:  Speaks about the culture of gangs so that educators will understand how to work with youth in their schools.

Group Mentoring:  Workshops for youth to encourage them to develop positive social skills.  Guides them to improve their self-esteem while encouraging them to drop their allegiance to gangs.

 Teaching Training Workshops:  To understand dynamics of gangs.
