Artist's Statement:
When art is created there is no particular size, color, style or texture it should be.  It is as diversified as individuals.  Through art we can help create a more diverse world.  As we create, we are showing an appreciation and respect for universal diversity.

Background:
Sharon's love of art and people has prompted her to introduce a method to assist people who may have limited skills or abilities to create and share their art interpretations with others.  Sharon's objective is to guide her students in gaining self esteem, self actualization, creative thinking as they learn about the basic use of tools and art materials.  Sharon's BA is from the University of Central Oklahoma and her Masters is from the University of New Mexico.

Art Designs and Projects:
Sharon designs and creates with several different media.  She assists people of all ages, special needs children and senior citizens find a way to create and explore their talents through visual art.

Workshops and Residencies:
Presentations for the State Art Therapy Workshop as well as private workshops have been presented using hands on experiences with clay, paint, paper mache and mixed media.  Sharon teaches art therapy in hospitals, public schools, and Nursing Centers in the greater OKC area.l

Availability:
Sharon is available to conduct intergenerational art workshops.  The sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the participants.
